The Ruth Glacier is a feature of the Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska, United States. The upper Ruth Glacier is almost three vertical miles below the summit of Mount McKinley. The Great Gorge of Ruth Glacier is one mile wide, and drops almost two-thousand feet over ten miles, with crevasses along the surface. Above the surface on both sides are five-thousand foot granite cliffs. From the top of the cliffs to the bottom of the glacier is a distance that exceeds that of the Grand Canyon.
