Ryan Gentles is the manager of the strokes, a rock band based in new york city. It has been speculated that Gentles has been involved in a gay relationship with guitarist Nick Valensi. Rumours of the love affair spread after photos of the 2 surfaced on the internet. It is said that during a brief affair with Strokes lead singer Julian Casablancas, Gentles was often the "catcher" and Casablancas the "pitcher". After the gay porn film "Group Therapy" was sent out to fan club members in place of the "In Transit" DVD fans began to refer to Gentles as Genitals. He enjoys long walks on the beach and excessive amounts of time on the internet. He also has a third nipple affectionately nicknamed Titti.

Ryan appeared on HBO’s Sex in the City as a bartender in episode 81: “The Post-it Always Rings Twice,” the cover of the 2004 Jet magazine calendar, and his self-titled, Best of RyanGentles 2005 calendar sells in Black bookstores across the country.
RyanGentles is a graduate of Baruch College with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
