Kirisutokyoo-Ryu School of Christian Karate (593 words)
Ryu is a word that means way, or style in regards to a style of martial art.
The main difference between Kirisutokyoo-Ryu and other styles is that while many martial art schools teach the eastern philosophies that have accompanied the martial arts throughout their histories, Kirisutokyoo-Ryu does not endorse Asian religious ideas, but provides a Christian environment for the student.
This School teaches the karate student how to incorporate his or her Christian values into his karate, just as a Christian Doctor should incorporate his Christian values into his practice, or a Christian Business man into his business deals.
