Sevier County Election Commission governs all elections and voting in Sevier County including Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Pittman Center.
The commission works very closely with the administrator of elections toward the common goal of maintaining uniformity in elections as well as preserving the purity of the ballot.
The election commission also encourages all residents of Sevier County to register to vote and to exersise that right and freedom during every city, county, and general election.
Sevier became a member of the House of Representatives and served from 1823 to 1827 and served as speaker of that body in 1827.
Sevier was elected as a Delegate to the Twentieth US Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Henry Wharton Conway.
