Simple Service Discovery Protocol/1.0 (Operation without an Arbiter) is an IETF Internet draft.


The Simple Service Discovery Protocol (SSDP) provides a mechanism that network clients can use to discover network services. Clients can use SSDP with little or no static configuration. SSDP provides multicast discovery support, server-based notification, and discovery routing.


SSDP also stands for Students for Sensible Drug Policy.
