Carole Bayer Sager (born March 8, 1947 in New York City, New York) is an American lyricist, songwriter and singer best-known for writing the lyrics to many popular songs performed on Broadway and in Hollywood films.
Sager received the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1987 for "That's What Friends Are For" which she co-wrote with composer Burt Bacharach.
Sager now lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband Robert Daly, the chairman and CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and a former chairman of Warner Brothers.
