The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) was founded in 1880, making it the second oldest symphony in the United States after the New York Philharmonic. The symphony also has a partnership with 25 local African-American churches called IN UNISON. Young adults 25 34 are a group that likes to socialize, so the seven18club positioned going to selected Symphony concerts as a fun night out as much as a chance to hear world-class music.
And by branding the concerts as something separate from the Symphony, it became something that they could call their own.
