 | Several meetings were held at Salelologa and at Apia commencing in February 2001 to negotiate amount of compensation and a delegation of matais appointed by the chiefs and orators of Salelologa represented the village during the meetings held at Apia. |
| On the 1st February 2002 a meeting between the village of Salelologa and the representatives of the government including the Prime Minister and the Minister was held at Salelologa. |
| It is not disputed that at the meeting held on the 1st February 2002 the tu’ua of the village of Salelologa accepted the government’s offer of $4 million tala as compensation and it is not disputed that the agreement was executed on the 25th March 2002. |
