Salvadoran Americans are residents of the United States of Salvadoran descent. As of 2005 there are roughly 1.24 million Salvadoran Americans in the United States, the fourth largest Hispanic community by nation of ancestry.[1] The majority of Salvadoran Americans reside in Los Angeles, Houston, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. And there is a significant amount of Salvadorans in Northern New Jersey, Maryland and Long Island.
