He has appeared on Seinfeld ("The Cigar Store Indian", 1993, and "The Pie", 1994), The West Wing (as a conspiracy theorist adamant about his belief that the White House has information about extraterrestrial activity), 3rd Rock from the Sun ("Jailhouse Dick", 1997, and "My Daddy's Little Girl", 1998), and The Drew Carey Show. He had a guest role on Bill Lawrence's sitcom Spin City as a city hall bureaucrat, similar to his role as Ted Buckland in Scrubs. He was also a regular on the short-lived sitcom Double Rush, starring Robert Pastorelli. He has a recurring role on Desperate Housewives as Bree and Rex's psychiatrist, who recently falls victim to a demented suitor of Bree's.
