Thompson serves in the Assembly on the Health and Human Services Committee and on the Housing and Local Government Committee. Assemblyman Thompson has served on the New Jersey Advisory Council on Elder Care since 1998, served on the Continuing Care Advisory Council from 1998-2002 and on the New Jersey State Council for Adult Literacy Services from 2000-2002. He was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000.
