Rev. Samuel Finley (b. July 2, 1715 in Armagh, Ireland, d. July 17, 1766, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was an Evangelical preacher and academic: he was the founder of the West Nottingham Academy and fifth president of the College of New Jersey (later known as Princeton University) from 1761 until 1766. Finley was the son of Michael Finley and Ann O'Neill, and on September 26, 1744 married Sarah Hall. Hall was the aunt of Dr. Benjamin Rush, who became one of his students prior to his involvement in the politics of the American Revolution.
