Sandy is a very talented and athletic squirrel born in the state of Texas, who moved to Bikini Bottom in the South Pacific Ocean underneath Bikini Atoll in 1998, for her job - inventing things and experimenting underwater.
Sandy is also a friend to Patrick, but she is not too keen with him and usually just plays with him because he is with SpongeBob.
Sandy is an avowed Texas partisan, and speaks with a southern accent (although whether her accent is genuinely "Texan" is debatable); she takes strong offense at any negative comments about Texas.
