Sangam in Hindi means the confluence. Sangam at Allahabad is confluence of three most holy rivers regarding the Hindu religion. The Holy Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers meet at Sangam and make it the holiest of all the places as per Hindu religion.
