The Santa Ana Freeway is one of the principal freeways in Southern California, connecting Los Angeles, California and its southeastern suburbs. The freeway begins at the Four Level Interchange complex in downtown Los Angeles, signed as U.S. Highway 101. From there, it proceeds one mile east to the East Los Angeles Interchange where it takes the designation of Interstate 5. Its alignment then generally goes northwest to southeast towards its junction with the San Diego Freeway, Interstate 405 (I-405) (informally referred to as the El Toro Y), in Irvine. Boyle Heights is a district on the east side of Los Angeles, California, USA. Originally owned by the early L.A. Boyle-Workman family, it was subdivided in 1875 and named after Andrew Boyle. ... Santa Ana is the largest city and the county seat of Orange County, California.
Founded in 1869 by Kentuckian William H. Spurgeon on land purchased from the Yorba family, Santa Ana was incorporated as a city in 1886 with a population of 2000 and in 1889 became the seat of the newly formed Orange County.
Santa Ana is home to Santa Ana College, a community college that is part of the Rancho Santiago Community College District.
