Sarah Sze (born 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American artist and sculptor based in New York City. She is known in particular for site-specific ephemeral sculptures, in which thousands of small everyday objects are assembled into fragile, sweeping forms. Her work have been exhibited in solo shows at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, and the Fondation Cartier in Paris, as well as many group exhibits. She has also more recently installed permanent sculptures in the collections of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art.
