Amphoe Sattahip is a district in the province Chonburi, Thailand. It is located at the southern tip of the province, close to the touristical center Pattaya.


The Juksamet Port of Sattahip is one of the few deep water ports of Thailand. Also the Sattahip Naval Base is the largest base of the Thai Navy. The Ban Sattahip Air Base was used extensively by the US Air Force during the Vietnam war. The Sattahip Naval Base was the site of the 20th World Scout Jamboree in December 2002/January 2003.

Sattahip, Thailand is located at approximately 12º37'30''N 100º55'00"E in the northern portion of the Gulf of Thailand.
Sattahip's commercial port, called Juksamet Port, is located in Chuk Samet Bay in the southeast part of Sattahip Bay.
Sattahip Bay is relatively shallow, with depths of 10 to 13 ft (3 to 4 m) prevailing over most of its extent, although depths of less than 6.5 ft (2 m) exist in some places.
