Saver Tiger was a band formed in 1980 by famous and deceased musician Hideto Matsumoto, later know worldwide as hide. The band was formed in Yokosuka, a city of the Kanagawa prefecture. Saver Tiger would see frequent changes of line-up, Hideto being the only constant member. They were active since 1983 playing in small bars around the city. Since there was a band named similarly as Saber Tiger in Sapporo, Hokkaido, they later became known as Yokosuka Saver Tiger. Only one of their songs was recorded at the time, self-titled, and was released on a Metal omnibus compiled by Victor Records in 1986 (sitation needed). Little else is known about their members or their music. Deeming his venture in the music business a failure, Yokosuka Saver Tiger was disolved by Hideto in 1987, planning to abandon music for a job in hair styling.
