Scott McCallum (born May 2, 1950) is a member of the Republican Party who served as the 43rd Governor of U.S. state of Wisconsin from 2001 to 2003. McCallum was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the eldest of four children. He graduated from Macalester College in 1972 with a degree in Economics and Political Science. He obtained his masters degree in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 1974. He is a Christian Scientist. McCallum is currently CEO of Aidmatrix, a non-profit based in Texas that helps match charitable corporate donations of surplus food and supplies with organizations that need them. He lives in Lodi, Wisconsin.


Family

McCallum is married to Laurie McCallum. They have three children: Zachary, Rory and Cara.


Laurie is an attorney and has served as a commissioner of the Wisconsin Personnel Commission and the Wisconsin Labor and Industry Review Commission.


In 2001, Zachary was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after a fight during a party in 2000, when he was 18. Scott McCallum, then governor, initially said that his son was involved in a group fight while drinking alcohol and was being "singled out." Zachary himself stated he saw a brawl but did not participate, and that he saw the girl lying on the ground and getting punched in the face but he didn't know who injured her. An even different story emerged from Cecilia Retelle, the alleged victim, who accused Zachary of "beating [her], pulling her by the hair, pushing her face into the ground and kicking her several times." Zach is scheduled to graduate from Marquette University Dental School in 2007. Zach played soccer for four years for Marquette and was named to the Conference USA academic all-conference team. Rory is scheduled to graduate from Drake University with a degree in business administration in 2007. Rory played on the Drake men's soccer team and was named to the Missouri Valley Conference academic honor roll. Cara is a pre-dental student at Marquette University, playing on the Marquette women's club soccer team.
