SMG plc is a Scottish-based media company.


Formerly known as the Scottish Media Group, it changed its name when it acquired United Kingdom broadcaster Virgin Radio.


It also owns the two Independent Television franchisees for Scotland: Scottish Television and Grampian Television, as well as production company Ginger Television, outdoor advertiser Primesight, and cinema advertiser Pearl and Dean.
