The paper had a modest circulation of between 6000 and 12,000 copies, which was too low to sustain the journalist, sales and admin staff who at launch totally approximately 38. The main problem appeared to be a lack of promotion of the title. Indeed the only noticable promotion was a ten second advert on Scottish and Grampian TV the night before the paper launched. Very few people were therefore aware of the paper, other than by word of mouth. There would definitely appear to be a market for such a publication if it was promoted adequately.
