The Section Manager is one of three elected positions within the ARRL structure, and is responsible for all ARRL field organization operations within their section. Section managers hold their position for two year terms.
The Section Manager is not involved in setting ARRL policy. That is left up to the ARRL Board of Directors which are the other elected officials within the ARRL organization.

Job Description
The Section Manager's main job is to appoint his/her staff and run the ARRL field organization. This includes emergency communications, technical assistance, volunteer monitoring through the Amateur Auxilliary, support for affiliated amateur radio clubs, government liason, and propagation of ARRL bulletins.
