History Securitas AB was founded in 1934 in Sweden, and has since expanded and grown into various areas of the security business. This growth has come mainly from the aquisition of smaller companies, both within Sweden and outside it. The foundation of Securitas's business has been, and still is, based on what clients need - Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. These are the company's values and are symbolized by the three red circles in the company logo. By the 1970's the Securitas logo was recognized throughout Europe. In 2000, the company organized the group into Security Services, which handles manned guarding, i.e. stationary objects like receptions and visitor managment, Security Systems which handles large alarm and surveillance systems and Cash Handling Services which handle transport, packaging, counting and storing physical values such as cash and precious metals.
