See Hear is a weekly BBC programme for deaf people in the UK. The programme features interviews with people involved with the deaf in areas such as education, deaf rights, technology, and language. There are often interesting topics covering many issues, and news items about what's happening in the deaf community.
There are in-vision subtitles as well as sign language interpretation throughout the programme.
seehear now is a real-time music and video collaboration that seeks to merge the sonic and the visible, and to transport the performers and audience to a transcendent experience.
Vision aids to make seeing easier, such as reading glasses and contact lenses (including disposable contact lenses) and disability equipment for those with hearing problems or who are deaf, such as digital hearing aids.
Hearing loss can have a major impact on quality of life, and can be linked to depression if people become isolated.
Digital hearing aids are available in two main types - behind the ear, or BTE, where a mould sits inside your ear, connected to the main body of the aid which rests behind the ear; and in the ear, ITE, or in the ear canal, ITC, where the entire aid fits inside the ear.
