Seemann said the damage occurred June 22, when a storm caused a large limb from high up in a tree in the village easement fell onto her home, nearly striking her daughter, Tiffiny, who was grilling their food on the front porch at the time.
According to Seemann, the tree, which is in the easement in front of her neighbor’s home, belongs to the village, and the portion that broke off and fell on the home was dead.
Seemann said her insurance has a $500 deductible and as a single mother living on Social Security disability, she can not afford the repair costs.
