Located in Los Angeles, California, the SepulvedaDam (34.166543° N 118.472588° W) is a project of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, built in 1941 to control winter flood waters along the Los Angeles River.
It is located approximately 8 miles east of the river's official starting point in the San Fernando Valley.
