The Service Control Point (SCP) is the heart of the Intelligent Network (IN) and hosts the Service Control Function (SCF).
With these protocols support is given to the mechanisms to enable specific services with capabilities not covered by standardised GSM services, as roaming outside the Home PLMN (HPLMN) and interrogation on subscriber location (Any Time Interrogation and Active Location Retrieval).
SCP R11 is fully aligned with system releases GSM R11 and WCDMA CN4.0.
