He is currently a player for Carlton Football Club, and has been joined at the club by brother Aisake Ó hAilpín, who currently trains with the Blues. Originally placed on the rookie list, strong performances in the VFL for the Northern Bullants elevated Setanta to the primary list in place of Anthony Franchina during 2004.
