As a baby, Sewernose was taken away from his mother in the Louisiana bayou and sold to an unknown owner. Not long after, he was cruelly flushed down the toilet and made his home in the sewers. The pair of traumatic events left him severely psychologically damaged and he developed two split personalites, represented by the two hand puppets he carries. Voltaire, the French one, represents the harsh criticism he has of himself, while the Greek one, Euripides, represents his confidence and support. In addition to these personalities, Sewernose developed an unhealthy obsession with the theater, as well as extreme cases of both narcissism and manic depression, and homicidal tendencies. In the events of the episode, Sewernose attempts to kill the lead actor of the opera the Rangers end up seeing, and take his place so he may showcase his talents. However, his acting is less than impressive, and the audience flees when they see he is an alligator. Fortunately, the Rangers stop his potentially murderous rage by continuing the opera; Chip plays the lady love, while Dale, dressed as the rival, engages him in a swordfight. When the gator disarms him, however, Gadget Hackwrench and Monterey Jack attempt some psychological warfare by pretending to be Voltaire and Euripides. Taking advantage of Sewernose's confusion, the Rangers promptly flush him down the fountain, where he was never seen again. The Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italy. ...
