Shane Patrick Roche (born March 11, 1964), better known by his stage name Shane Richie, is a British actor and comedian. He is (as of October 2004) best known for his role as Alfie Moon in the BBCsoap operaEastEnders, although he had a very long acting career before arriving in that role in 2002.
He is also a well known stand up comedian and game show emcee. Richie was born in Harlesden, London.

KERRI RITCHIE: The hunters concede large sections of the community hate what they do but they say they don't hunt for the thrill of the kill, it's simply a way of helping to feed their families and it's unfair that the foxhound is now caught in the middle.
KERRI RITCHIE: Shane Harris says the foxhounds are only used to locate the deer and in all his years of hunting, he's never seen one attack.
SHANE HARRIS: They are a dog that needs to run, people say just make a pet out of them, that's not something that's going to happen.
