Shariff Kabunsuan is the newest province of the Philippines, having been carved out of the ten towns comprising the first district of the province of Maguindanao. It would become the country’s 80th province and the sixth in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. It is the first province to not be made by Congress, as it was made through invoking the powers of Republic Act No. 6734, the law creating the ARMM. A region (Filipino: Rehiyon) is an administrative subdivision in the Philippines. ...
