The racial makeup of the city was 97.91% White, 0.11% African American, 0.47% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.72% from other races, and 0.58% from two or more races. The radio stations KMA-AM and KFNF were early pioneering radio stations attracting listeners throughout the Mid-West and drawing thousands of visitors to the city in the 1920's. The radio station KKBZ is in the same complex as KMA. They play "80's, 90's and Today" style music. It is on 99.3FM. KMA-AM is a radio station Shenandoah, Iowa operate on 960 AM, with a colorful history and is one of the only radio stations in the country tracing back to its original 1925 owners. ...
