Sherman Township is a township located in Osceola County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,081.
Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 96.6 km² (37.3 mi²). 96.0 km² (37.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.62% water.
Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,081 people, 380 households, and 305 families residing in the township. The population density is 11.3/km² (29.2/mi²). There are 501 housing units at an average density of 5.2/km² (13.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.15% White, 0.00% African American, 0.83% Native American, 0.28% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 0.65% from two or more races. 0.56% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 380 households out of which 41.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% are married couples living together, 10.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.7% are non-families. 14.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
