Shinya Hashimoto (July 3, 1965 - July 11, 2005), was a Japanese professional wrestler. Along with Masahiro Chono and Keiji Mutoh, Hashimoto was dubbed one of the "Three Musketeers" that began competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling in the late 1980s and dominated the promotion in the 1990s. Career

Despite his large size, before turning to pro wrestling Hashimoto was an amateur judoka, not a sumo wrestler, as popular belief says. Hashimoto became only the second man to win the top three heavyweight championships in Japan: the All Japan Triple Crown, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. On November 13, 2000 Hashimoto registered the ZERO-ONE name, and quit his long-time home-promotion of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). He founded Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE in 2001, and had its first show on March 2, 2001. He stayed as an owner and manager until November 2004, when he left the company. Hashimoto briefly wrestled in the United States, most notably in 1992. He participated in the NWA World tag team title tournament for WCW. At the 1992 Great American Bash pay per view, Hashimoto, along with his New Japan tag team partner Hiroshi Hase, advanced to the semifinals of the the tournament after defeating the Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin). However, they were then defeated by Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes. In New Japan, Hashimoto had several memorable bouts with the likes of Keiji Muto, Masahiro Chono & Kensuki Sasaki. He also wrestled the legendary Ric Flair on several Japanese house shows in the mid-1990's.
