Shirley K. Turner (born July 3) has been a New Jersey State Senator since 1998. Before being elected to the Senate, Turner served in New Jersey's lower house, the General Assembly from 1994 to 1998. Before joining state politics, Senator Turner was a Mercer County Freeholder from 1983 to 1986, where she served as Freeholder Vice President.
