Eventhough Shivappa Nayaka is called Keladi Shivappa Nayaka, he ruled from Bidanur (Nagara), not from Keladi. He was known is Shistina (disciplined) Shivappa Nayaka, as he reportedly, introuduced a tax system called Shistu.
