Shyamnagar is the southest area of Satkhira District. It is a natural place including many river, sundarbon which is known as Mangrove forest.


Politics There is no famous political man in Shyamnagar. But at the present time Chairman G.M. Shafiul Azam Lanin is the most famous, youg political leader in Shyamnagar. He has a great future. He is now chairman of 12 No. Gabura Union Porishad. His father was also chairman of this Union. He is a Awami leader from his first time. He was also selected as nominated person for 2007 national election. The people of Shyamnagar love him very much.
