In 1979, the company changed its corporate name to Sime Darby Berhad and became a large Malaysian conglomerate that is involved in Plantations, Tyre Manufacturing, Heavy Equipment and Motor Vehicle Distribution and Property Development. Furthermore, Sime Darby's secondary business activities include Manufacturing, Travel & Tourism, and Healthcare.
