Simei is a housing estate in eastern Singapore. It is a well-developed estate with plenty of amenities and facilities. There are schools, an MRT station, and a shopping mall. East Point is the primary shopping mall located here that cater to the needs of the residents, and houses shops such as restaurants, bookstores, music shops and a large section dedicated to pet needs, called Pet Safari. NTUC, a leading supermarket in Singapore, is located on the first floor of Simei MRT Station. There are different kinds of houses in the area, with landed properties, condominiums and flats within a stone's throw of each other. For medical needs, Changi General Hospital is located here as well, and serves many Singaporeans living in the Eastern area. Some buses that serve the Simei area are SBS bus services 9, 12 and 38.
