Simopoulo (Greek, Modern: Σιμόπουλον, Ancient/Katharevousa: Simopoulon) is a community located about 5 km west of GR-33 and south of the Peneus valley. Where it has a municipality name of which is the seat is Pineia. Distance from Patras is about 45 km S, about 48 km W of Lampeia and W of Tripoli, about 25 km NE of Pyrgos and approximately 20 km ENE of Amaliada.

The community has a small school, a church, and a square(plateia).


Farmlands are located to its north and west while forests and pine trees dominate the west, the south and east with a few groves in the northwest and east. Hills dominate the northwest and mountains dominate the west, northwest and south. It is located south of mount Skollis.


Pine forests dominate the northeastern and the eastern part of the municipality.
