  • Released in 1995, one year after Kurt Cobain's death, this box-set includes the singles from the Nirvana albums Nevermind and In Utero.
  • Singles included from the Nevermind album are: "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are", "Lithium", and "In Bloom".
  • Singles included from the In Utero album are: "Heart-Shaped Box" and "All Apologies".
  • It does not include the planned third In Utero single "Pennyroyal Tea". This single was recalled by the record company after Kurt Cobain was found dead, however several hundred copies had already been sold.
  • It does not contain earlier singles or other Nirvana singles from other albums, .

Before Nirvana, Cobain could be found in numerous bands including The Melvins, Fecal Matter, Stiff Woodies, Brown Cow, The Sellouts, and Skid Row (several with Novoselic).
By the end of 1987, Nirvana was born when drummer Aaron Burckhard was added and then replaced with Chad Channing.
During the year, a few accusations of heroin use and overdoses were reported and problems persisted with the new LP not being satisfactory to their record label.
