Skip has worked in the gaming industry for more than twenty years, wearing many hats along the way: General dogsbody at TSR, Inc., Convention Director for the GenCon® Game Fair, freelance designer/editor, Assistant Coordinator for the RPGA® Network, and currently game designer for Wizards of the Coast's roleplaying games division.
Skip has also been Dragon® Magazine's "Sage" for more than a decade, offering DM hints, player tips, and his own brand of wry humor.

From 1989 to 1990 Williams served as an emergency physician with the Emergency Associates of Kitchener, Waterloo and as the medical director of the Westmount Urgent Care Clinic.
Subsequently, Williams became the director of the Department of Emergency Services at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre and assistant professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto.
Williams also functioned as the crew medical officer, the flight engineer during the ascent phase, and was trained to perform contingency spacewalks.
