Storyline

The intended storyline was that there were eight robots fighting against each other. Four of them belonged to the faction that could form into a combined form called Robotops and were believed to be the good ones while the other four belonged to the faction that could form into a combined form called Ultra-Rex and were evil. Some of the Slizers were frequently searching for rare minerals to make themselves stronger.

The war was believed to be over since both factions were believed to be equally matched. Suddenly a meteor was soaring in the universe and struck the other half of the planet with the result; that the Ultra-Rex was destroyed died and five remained. The survivors were the members of the Ropotops faction but four very evil Slizers were born by the energies contained in the meteor. And these Slizers sought to hunt down and destroy any survivors of the Robotops team.

The 2000 Slizer story was never explained properly which left fans with many unanswered questions, because the toy line was ended released with the sudden release of the Lego Technic Roboriders toyline which was released during December 1999-January 2000. But it only lasted until the end of December where Bionicle was going tto be released shortly thereafter.
