Slurring ones spoken words is the improper enunciation of either starting or ending vowels, often leaving them out completely, and/or resulting in words that seemed combined, and flowing sentences that seem to have no breaks between words.

"Lets go to the mall to buy some shoes " turns into "Lessgodoa'malld'buysumzshoes".

Slurring can be induced by Alcohol, but it is also a feature in several regional accents, mainly in the deep south of the United States and also appears in some parts southern Ontario. In the case of the latter, slurring is a result of quickly spoken wordds. Often when I person catogorised as belonging to a slurring accent group speaks slowly, the slur dissapears. In general usage, alcohol (from Arabic al-khwl الكحول, or al-ghawl الغول) refers almost always to ethanol, also known as grain alcohol, and often to any beverage that contains ethanol (see alcoholic beverage). ...
