The Soon Valley starts from Padhrar village and ends in Sakesar which at 5010 feet is the highest peak of the Salt Range. The Soon Valley is 35 miles (56 km) long and on average is 9 miles (14 km) wide^{[citation needed]}. They possess very high traditional moral values and do not compromise on principles. The whole Soon valley is full of beautiful scenes and people. The main tribe of the area is the Awan tribe settled in the Soon valley with Malik as sub cast is used by the locals, such as Pirkal in Jallay wali, Majhial in Mardwal, Lalaal, Bazral , Chhatal in Ugali, Phatwal and Mianwaddal in Anga and so on. In the valley Awan's are known by their sub castes. A majority of the people are serving in the armed forces of Pakistan.
