Sound Asleep EP, also known as Whisper EP, was the second EP released by Evanescence. Released at a show in August 1999 with help from BigWig Enterprises, it was a CD-R in an unmarked translucent case, sometimes signed by Lee and Moody. It is very rare, as only fifty copies were made. Sound Asleep apparently contains the last recording the band will release of the song "Understanding". Sound Asleep EP - The Evanescence Reference (259 words)
Name of the EP (also referred to as the Whisper EP) released in August, 1999 on CD-R. Features an early version of Whisper and two versions of Understanding.
There is at least one ebay seller selling copies of the EP with a version of "Give Unto Me" of 5 minutes and 49 seconds and the track length of "Ascension of the Spirit" being 3 minutes and 16 seconds (without the silence and movie quotes) and unsigned by Amy Lee.
As far as I know, ALL copies of the Sound Asleep EP were burned with same contents and sequencing, including the instrumental version of "Give Unto Me," "Ascension of The Spirit," and the lengthy silences preceding the hidden tracks.
sound - Definitions from Dictionary.com (2458 words)
Sound and noise are often used interchangeably for anything perceived by means of hearing.
Sound, however, is more general in application, being used for anything within earshot: the sound of running water.
The loudness of a sound perceived by the ear depends on the amplitude of the sound wave and is measured in decibels, while its pitch depends on its frequency, measured in hertz.
