South Greenfield is a village located in Dade County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 136.

Geography

South Greenfield is located at 37°22'32" North, 93°50'27" West (37.375496, -93.840812)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 136 people, 54 households, and 40 families residing in the village. The population density is 308.9/km² (798.1/mi²). There are 59 housing units at an average density of 134.0/km² (346.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.26% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 54 households out of which 38.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.1% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.9% are non-families. 22.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.52 and the average family size is 2.90.

In the village the population is spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 31.6% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 104.3 males.
