USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E)
Commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the Enterprise was launched in 2372 from the San Francisco Yards. The next year, the Enterprise fights in the Battle of Sector 001 before being transported back to 2063 where the Borg partially assimilate it during their attempt to prevent first contact between humans and Vulcans.[1] In 2375, the Enterprise crew prevents the forced relocation of the Ba'ku people from their planet in the Briar Patch.[3] In 2379, the ship travels to Romulus to meet with Praetor Shinzon. The Enterprise is severely damaged while fighting Shinzon's Scimitar, and shortly thereafter undergoes major repairs in orbit over Earth.[2]

Sovereign class - Memory Alpha - A Wikia wiki (3629 words)
The Sovereign Project was one of the new defensive technologies initially intended for use against the Borg threat.
The warp engines of the Sovereign were of a new design which eliminated subspace distortion effects inherent to standard warp drives without the use of variable geometry nacelles (as found on the Intrepid-class – see also Hekaras Corridor).
The Sovereign class isn't the first class of vessel to have several sickbays; we saw Beverly Crusher evacuating a sickbay in the engineering hull of the Enterprise-D in Star Trek Generations.
ACTD - Advanced Starship Design Bureau | Sovereign-class Specs (12822 words)
Starships had to constantly randomize their shield frequency in order to affect a reliable defense, which in the heat of combat proved to be difficult at best - at least in readings gathered in the Enterprise-D's initial encounter with the Borg.
Due to the mission profile of the Sovereign class, the shuttlebay extends larger than normal for a vessel its size to accommodate runabouts and ships smaller than Courier-grade that may be the primary mode of transport by entities the vessel’s crew encounter.
Allocation of the larger Danube-class runabout to starships in the field proved too costly, and with the expressed need by the Sovereign-class development team for a capable shuttle, the Type-11 was born.
