Ilona Poland, 61, of Warren, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in St. John Macomb Hospital, Warren.
Poland, a homemaker, was a member of Warren Eagles Aerie 2437, VFW Menge Post Ladies Auxiliary 6756 and Grosse Pointe Fraternal Order of Police.
She is survived by her husband, John; children, Michael (Roberta) Poland and Rita Poland; and grandchildren, Terrance and Alan Bayles.

Poland regained its independence in 1918 and defended it in the war of 1920-1922 against Soviet attempt to overrun Poland and invade Europe.
As Poland is a member of the European Union, citizens of the EU and of the countries belonging to the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) can enter Poland with a valid passport or identity card.
