History

Founded in 1970, Father Fergus Duffy was the first administrator of the school that supports the Roman Catholic community of Westdale and West Hamilton today.

Sports

St. Mary's has many excellent sports, which have won the school numerous and consecutive titles in the OFSAA, GHAC, HWRCSSB, SOSI, HWCDSB, and many City titles.

Football

St. Mary's crusaders have retained the D-1 championship for the last 2 years. Along with championships in 2005,2003,2002,1999,and 1992.

Basketball

St. Mary's strongest sport is definitely basketball. St. Mary's currently holds 27 girls' championship titles and 6 boys' championship titles. Recently, the St. Mary's senior girls' basketball team beat out their local rival, Westdale Warriors, for the SOSI Super 12 Senior Girls' Basketball Tournament.
